Issue with android k9 mail about pdf file

About .eml attachments: I assume that the mail is a “forwarded as attachment” mail which itself contains the PDF attachment. Other eMail programs like Thunderbird are able to directly show content of attached mails, also their attachments.

K9 lacks this functionality and shows a .eml file instead. This .eml file can be displayed with other apps but not with K9

Opening EML attachments

Any embedded RFC822 attachment is shown as EML attachment. In an Android environment just a button will be shown which leads to an external app … (not handled by K9, alas, I can’t control the set of apps). Wouldn’t it be nice, if K9 opens and handles such object by itself? Especially to inspect the header of such mails. K9 has definitely all the abilities to do so. I’d expect that could be easily intergrated and implemented … could this be taken to the whishlist?

Unable to view MIME mail attachments

hi all, Should I expect K-9 to be able to handle, i.e. display, emails containing another email in a MIME attachment, i.e. a simple attachment-forwarded email? For example, today I received an email: Content-Type: multipart/mixed with two attachments.
