How do I add a Google Workspace account?

We intend to make this easier in the future. For now you’ll have to manually set up Google Workspace accounts.
Make sure you’re using at least K-9 Mail 6.200.

  1. In the “Set up a new account” screen enter your email address.
  2. Tap the “Manual setup” button.
  3. Tap the “IMAP” button.
  4. Enter under IMAP server.
  5. Change Authentication to OAuth 2.0.
  6. Tap the “Next” button.
  7. If your browser is not already logged in to your Google Workspace account, you will be asked to log in.
  8. Afterwards you’ll be asked to grant K-9 Mail access to “Read, compose, send, and permanently delete all your email from Gmail”. Tap “Allow”.
  9. In the “Outgoing server settings” screen enter under SMTP server.
  10. Make sure Authentication is set to OAuth 2.0.
  11. Tap the “Next” button.
  12. K-9 Mail will automatically use the access you’ve granted it in step 8.
  13. Follow the rest of the account setup procedure :slightly_smiling_face:
