Can't exit K-9 11 after opening a folder

In 11.0, If I leave the inbox to open another folder and then return to the inbox, I cannot exit K-9 using the back arrow.

If I go back to the folder list, select the account rather than a folder, and then go back to the inbox, I can exit.

Android 10.

Also won’t exit if you change between accounts.

I have the same issue on my Google Pixel 7 with GrapheneOS. It’s really annoying! :frowning:

I ran into this when I updated to version 11.1 today on my ancient android 9 Samsung phone. I couldn’t exit even though I didn’t open any mail. I could exit if I switched to my outlook account from my AOL account. It seems to have fixed itself after I did that, but I’m getting skeptic that it won’t happen again.

Also, in thread mode, go into a thread, exit to the folder with the back button, and try to exit again with the back button.

Android 15 on a Samsung galaxy 25 ultra the same issue . Back button doesn’t work since last upgrade.

I have the same problem since update to v11.1. Have just posted with steps to reproduce the bug: Bug in most recent update (v11.1)

I have the same issue on motorola edge 40 neo android 14

This issue is fixed in v12 & v12.1 releases.
