Bug in most recent update (v11.1)

K-9 Mail updated to v11.1 last week. Now, it’s not possible to exit the app using the Back button in Android as it used to be.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open K-9 Mail.
  2. Access a folder other than the inbox.
  3. Use the back (right-hand) button in Android to jump back to the inbox. Press it again which should minimise the app, but it just refreshes the inbox.
  4. The only way to quit the app is to press the Recents (left-hand) Android button and close the app down.

Note that if you just open K-9 Mail and don’t navigate away from the inbox, the back button works as expected.

This issue is fixed in both K9 and Thunderbird v12 & v12.1 releases.

Thanks @Zeroid. The Google Play Store still has v1.11 as the latest. Is there a way to get v12.1, or do you know when it will become the latest release and download as an update?

I never get mine from the Play Store but always directly from Github.

Not sure if the Github version can update the Playstore one - but if not then just save/export your settings in the old version and import them in the new
