Autocrypt - allways added to headers

Hi. I’ve got problem with Autocrypt: header. Even if I’m not use PGP, but enable PGP with this account, the header allways is visible.

eg:

Content-Type: multipart/alternative; boundary="----4RKZU2NQVLV8SE9SZ412IQ9XDLEPI5"
Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit
Autocrypt: addr=rxxxxx@xxxxxx.net; keydata=
mQINBF9zHqkBEACyPZXcHv9DK7+Wcc64lIxT1Oy2dyecWQrX9TC+gn0OLIHU/4SZrsk9QoONA6iv
m+Z6MEzs6zwXgFMBy7pEyYnhY5LyLpHMTclcFXBceAKUlWvQ4GfiGeWYMlcxRkxQTEUmXb+sGaA

The main problem is with the reply email to many recipients. About 25 emails. Header sections going to long, and email hasn’t “From:” header and others important.

What is the solution ? Maybe - like Thinderbird - add Autocrypt on the very end of headers section ?

A big point of Autocrypt is that you distribute your public key with every email that you send. See also https://autocrypt.org/

What do you mean by “header sections going to[o] long”? There’s no size limit for email headers.
Are you maybe running into this issue: Use folding to properly handle To/CC/BCC with more than 1000 characters? In that case please update to the latest beta version.

Yeah, I know that distribute my public key with every email is VERY big point, but I had little issues with this.

I receive email with 25 recipients. After configuration K9, after check, that I have key in cryptography section, I answered for this email.

I have noticed, return from recipients server with message:

After this I check “Sent” folder and I saw source of this message:

What went wrong ?
Why I have blank line before “From:” ?
Why “From:” is so far from beginning of headers section ?

Regards :grinning:

As suspected this is a bug unrelated to Autocrypt. Please check the second part of my first comment. The bug is fixed in recent beta versions.

I’ll try beta version…

Wow - new beta version is amazing… Very nice interface, very good work !
Good job !

One question is - on messages list i read one message and how i can mark this messages

as unread << ???
On previous full version was “mark messages as unread” in short menu after long press on message.
Please - help me.
