Yahoo Mail Won’t Download, Usually Times

When trying to change the settings of the outgoing SMTP server, nothing happens when trying to submit them. The only way to close the dialog is to go back, which causes the changes to be lost.

Performing the same action for the incoming server works as expected — it attempts to connect to the server and asks whether to accept the server certificate.

This issue occurs both on a fresh installation, when importing settings from desktop Thunderbird, and on an installation where the server has already been configured.

It would be helpfull if you can detail what data your entering into the smtp setting fields.

Yahoo only supports OAuth 2.0 if I recall. Your settings for outgoing email should resemble:

smtp.yahoo.com
SSL/TLS
465
OAuth 2.0
fullEmailAddr

Checking the connection may launch a web browser to set up the OAuth on the initial try or if the session gets terminated. You will need to type in your username, password, and any additional authenticatoin you use on your web account.
