Update download

Hello,
I have version 6.602 on my phone. I found the K9 in the Play Store. How can I download the update to the latest version?
Wolfgang

No idea which version is current in the Playstore, but it looks like 6.602 was the last Stable + uploaded there. I always use the latest Beta/Pre-Release from k-9’s Github page. Simply download + install :slightly_smiling_face:

Judging from your question, I don’t think you are the target audience for beta versions. This means that you are already running the latest available version and do not need to update.

Hello,
I’m new to my cell phone. How can I download the beta version from Github?
Wolfgang

By downloading apks from the internet, you can easily catch viruses and malware. Just stick to the Google Play Store. The version there is the latest stable version. Everything else is unstable, crashes more, and potentially requires you to do debugging. If you are new to the phone, you really don’t want to run unstable versions.

Why do you want the unstable version? Is there any bugs that affect you from which you know that they are fixed in the unstable version?

I assume that bugs will also be fixed in the beta version.
Wolfgang

If there are important bugs affecting the stable version, the stable version gets updated. The beta version is for potentially unstable things during development. If you are new to the phone, you don’t want the beta version. Get used to the phone first, and maybe start with beta versions in a few years when you are used to the phone.
