Hello to everyone,
how do I set up and account to read and write newsgroups (usenet) in Thunderbird or K-9 for Android?
I have not been able to.

You dont. It is K-9 Mail/Thunderbird for Android doesn’t support Usenet. I don’t know if Usenet accounts are on the roadmap, but they aren’t in the current feature set.

Yeah, I think it is unlikely. But you post your wish at Ideas - Mozilla Connect if it’s not already there. If it is already there then you can vote for it.
