Since today, after the latest update of K-9 Mail to version 14.0, the following happens: everything that is sent to my K-9 Mail on my phone with attachments causes those files to be turned into winmail.dat files.
Yes, I have checked that the messages are not sent in RTF format. They are sent in HTML. If I choose TXT format, it can work. The emails are sent from Outlook 2007.
All other recipients here in the house and elsewhere receive the same emails correctly. If I send an email to myself from the computer to the phone and add another person as CC, then K-9 Mail on my phone receives the email, but everything that is attached becomes winmail.dat — the person in CC receives the email correctly.
I have cleared the cache in K-9 Mail, forced stop, restarted, and rebooted the phone. Nothing helps. There is, however, the small detail that others who send emails to me can attach files that are received correctly.
It seems like a suddenly occurring problem between Outlook 2007 and K-9 Mail version 14.0. What should I do?”
