Shared hyperlinks enclosed by "<" and ">"

As per latest update (6.802), K9 started sharing hyperlinks preceded by “<” and followed by “>”.
At first I assumed it was an issue of Privcy Browser, which I use a lot for browsing ans sharing sites. Their developer, however, assured me that PB was not the source.
It may be a personal matter, by I do not see the added value of this feature. Can I reverse it in my personal app settings?
