We have used K-9 Mail for many, many years. It is our go-to email on all of our mobile devices. For some time now, as I am reading messages, the program will just terminate. Shut down and close! As I get many messages, and read back from end (most recent), hoping to get to messages that I had already read and replied to, I get dropped somewhere in between. Hence I have to restart your app, but also have to try to figure out how far back I had gotten. More important, how do I stop having your app suddenly terminate on its own?!? It happens maybe every few minutes. Android says several hundred times a day. Thank you.

Problem happens on my mobile devices.
We use Outlook on our desktop devices.
And I can’t get K-9 Mail to work on my new Lenovo tablet. But I had the same issues on my previous tablet, which was a Samsung.
Google Pixel 8 Pro, Android 16.
K-9 V-11.0
Whatever I am doing, every few minutes, K-9 Mail will collapse and terminate, and return to Android launch page.

Maybe you need to provide logs with
Settings / General Settings / Debugging
- Enable debug logging
next time when issue occured go to 3dot menu and select Export logs
