Sent email doesn't appear in sent folder

Using android 14 on galaxy A05s Samsung phone.

Sent emails using k-9 on phone ‘disappear’. Not in sent or out box.
When I send emails via PC using thunderbird sent messages appear on phone.

Help! Please advise how to resolve this.

Check account/folder settings and make sure to declare the correct Sent folder.

Thanks - but I cannot see any settings corresponding to your advice

Folder settings are all ‘classes’ ie 1st, 2nd etc
No idea what these mean.

Where should I find a ‘declare’ setting?

I’m in settings / manage folders / sent

No declare option there. Only ‘classes’.

How do I find the setting you recommend?

Installed K-9 version 6.804.

You aren’t at the right menu. You have to do these folder mappings at the account level, not the app level.

From a mailbox, tap |||, settings, choose whichever account, Folders

From there, ensure that each of Archive, Drafts, Sent, Spam and Trash are mapped to a folder on the server side.

Thanks for telling me how to find the right menu - not at all obvious at least to me - I selected the sent folder (I presume this is ‘declaring’ it) and I can now see sent messages - thanks all.
