PUSH notifications are not working for me. Emails are retrieved from the server every 15 minutes, which is simply too long for me. I don’t want to have to synchronize manually all the time.
When I go to Settings > Retrieve Emails > Enable Push for Main Folder and then exit the settings, PUSH is automatically disabled again. I don’t understand this phenomenon. All notifications are enabled on the smartphone itself.
For example, when I receive an email, I don’t see any information about unread emails. Usually, the number of unread emails is displayed. When I check manually, the emails arrive, but if I don’t check (because the 15 minutes haven’t passed), I go to settings and activate push, and the emails arrive immediately. But then the push option deactivates again. I have no idea what the cause is.
Incidentally, my account is set to IMAP.
