"Pin" mail messages

Hi,

does K9 have the possibility to “pin” mails? Old mails get purged from the device so that only the latest 25 (or whatever you set in the settings remain). But sometimes I would prefer if I could mark a mail as “Keep it”.
E.g. I buy an admission ticket and they send me a QR code in a mail. Not a PDF or .pkpass file that I could save, but just an email containing the QR code as an image. Bad luck has it that the mail will be purged just before the event. I can get it back by selecting “Get 25 more mails” at the bottom (possibly multiple times…), but it would be much more convenient to “pin” the message.

Is there any possibility to do something like this?

Unfortunately K9 doesn’t have a pin feature like that.

As a workaround, create a folder named “Keep It” and move the relevant emails there for quick access.

Folder creation must be done via your email providers web portal and will be available in K9 once the folder list is refreshed.

Navigate: mail account > manage folders > 3dot menu > refresh folder list

You’ll also want to enable sync or push on the folder depending on your preference.

Navigate: mail account > manage folders > “Keep It” folder.

Alternatively you could screen capture or directly save the QR Code image file to your phones storage for retention and quick retrieval.
