Outlook authentication error notification

Since K9 updated to 10.0 from the Play Store, about every few days or so, I would get the authentication failed notification. I hadn’t been getting it for months & now it’s back. I’m beginning to think that, unfortunately, I might have to use MS’s outlook app for that account. I really don’t want to waste valuable phone space for another app, but if K9 can’t handle MS’s Oauth2, then I’ll have no choice to use Outlook app or worse check my Outlook mail on a browser.

This is interesting. We made some changes to Outlook login in Fixes Outlook outgoing server autoconfig failure by rafaeltonholo · Pull Request #9089 · thunderbird/thunderbird-android · GitHub which I hope aren’t causing issues. It has fixed the situation for me, I am able to log in now as was Rafael, but it apparently doesn’t work for everyone.

Can you file a new issue and provide some logs? Make sure to review the logs and check for sensitive information, you don’t want the XOAUTH lines in your logs

It seems to have calmed down for now, I’ve yet to get that notification. I’ll file an issue & send logs if it should happen again.
