Notification for folders

I have a rule on my mail server to move some emails into folders, I don’t seem to get any notification for these emails?
is that something on the client side or server side that is causing no pop up notification?

Have you configured the folder in K-9 Mail to be automatically synced?

How do you do that?
is that in the manage folder settings?

Sadly, it’s somewhat complicated. See Folder classes - K-9 Mail

Hmm, the seems to be references to sync in doco but I can only see push and poll, i assume poll=sync

Both equal sync. The key is the folder class and the poll/push setting for those classes.
