No mail fetching anymore in v18.0

Hello to all,

since the newest v18.0, I haven’t been able to check my emails on any of my accounts. The login seems not to work, there aren’t any error messages.
I’m using K9 v18.0 on Android v12, MIUI Global 14.0.6 with no changes of the login-settings.
My providers are vodafone.de and 1und1.

Does anyone have any advice?

Same problem on two phones where the mui are 9.1.0 and for the other one.7.0.

The problem is the samae on old k9 mail version and the new 18 version.

On my tablet with the one ui 6.0 I get the mail without problem.

On the conputer no problem.

I checked the mail account settings on both phones.They are ok.

Thus it not a mail account issue, neither the mail provider.

It seems that the k9 mail does not support the ui version from 7.0.

Who can help?

It would be beneficial if you can explain “I haven’t been able to check my emails”

  • You have new unread emails on the server which K9/TB is not downloading when you manually refresh?
  • Your emails are not being downloaded by the automatic sync mechanism?
  • You’ve configured push notification but receiving no alerts for new email arrivals?

I checked the mail account settings on both phones

For clarity, are you confirming you’ve tested each accounts incoming server settings and they connect to the server successfully?

Clicking next on Setting > Account Name > Fetching Mail > Incoming Server will check the connection.

  • Are you able to successfully send emails from the app?
  • What version of android are the phones running?
  • Who is your mail provider
  • What server configuration settings are being used (redact where applicable).
  • Have you changed any default app settings on the fetching mail settings page.

Yes, that’s the point - until a few day’s ago. The problem was with my email provider. They had acknowledged this issue on the webmail login page for some users—and I was one of them. As I said, everything is working again now!
