I have the K9-mail-app installed on my telephone and my tablet (both android), and since yesterday they have both not been able to receive incoming mails. I tried to re-install one of them, but it’s still the same.
You need to provide many more details. What version of K9, phone and tablet types, Android versions, IMAP or POP3, server? The more details, the more likely it is that someone may be able to help.
to add to the above request for details – there hasn’t been a new production release of K9 in a while, so it’s unlikely that it changed between the day before yesterday and yesterday (to cause the break on two different devices). given that, it’s probably not the case that K9 is the source of your incoming mail problem.
have you looked with some other client (webmail or otherwise) to see that you have “new” messages? what actions do you take to retrieve mail and are you getting any errors?
one way to see if you are having an issue with communications with the mail server is to run through the setup “settings/[mailbox/]fetching mail/incoming server/next”. if it comes back immediately after checking, then the issue is generally elsewhere. if it hangs or returns an error, report the details.
Problem solved. Thanks for helping
Great that it is fixed. What was the solution for you? This might help others which run into similar / same issue. Also would be great if you coild mark the helping comment as solution for this thread.
Really not very interesting. The server name had been changed, which was announced long ago, I just forgot to change my K9-settings accordingly.
