Move "Identity" to a different account?

I have been using K9 mail for almost 15 years now. I have a number of “identities” (Settings>[Account name]>Sending Mail>Manage Identities) that I use for sending from multiple email addresses.

I recently added a second account within K9 because I’ve migrated to a new server. But I left the old account active because it’s got decades of email messages still on it and I want to maintain access to those messages.

Is there a way to migrate those identities to the new account?

There is no such setting and I doubt that there ever will be, but you could use the settings import/export feature and copy over the identities in the exported xml file. Note that I do not know what happens if you are using a POP3 account with local messages
