Message lost / ghost error warning

A message sent out was never sent and is now lost somewhere at K9 Mail. I repeatedly receive error messages at my watch “MI Band” that the message could not be sent. I am using 5.7.33, the message was sent with 5.7.32.

The error message, however, does not show at my Android phone and I cannot locate the erronous message anywhere - not at the outbox / drafts / sent messages at any of my mail folders.

I am certain that the message was never received by the recipient.

How can I debug this error further?

I finally found the message in another outbox folder, so it is no longer an issue.

Unclear to me is, why the error message was only displayed on the watch and not on my phone, although all message information settings are set to on.
