I have recently been experiencing an issue with opening the app and when moving from one folder to another. When a folder opens, it appears empty for as much as several minutes sometimes. Swiping to cause a refresh does nothing, the refresh symbol does not even display. It’s like it freezes for a while. Once the folder screen does finally get populated with a list of emails, the refresh swipe does work, but it can take a long time for new incoming emails to actually download. After a while, the refresh swipe does work, but it seems to take several swipes/refreshes to actually get new emails to download.
Any help would be appreciated.

Try turning off the “show contact names” and the “show contact pictures” settings. Some device vendors have horribly slow contacts providers
