I use K9 on two smartphones.
Version 6.6.03 is installed on a Cubot and runs without problems.
Versions 6.802-6.804 were installed on a Unihertz ATOM L. When I tried to set up a 4th email address a few weeks ago, K9 crashed without a message.
As my addresses have changed, I have now deleted all the old addresses and only wanted to install two valid addresses. When I try to add a new address, K9 crashes without a message.
I had version 6.307 which I then installed. This allowed me to install two addresses without any problems and successfully send and receive emails.
Today I checked K9 at my Samsung tablet. K9 version 6.804 is installed. I deleted 3 ivalid addresses and installed 2 new. Without problem!
Hello,
of course it is difficult and most time impossible to fix a bug, if there is no more information. And on my tablet I could see, that all is running well.
At weekend I will install 6.804 once again and will try it.
I reinstalled K9 6.804. I cleared the cache via the Android settings.
K9 crashed when I started it after I selected LOS (English Ready?).
Because I have a rather new Android studio installed on my PC, I connected the device to the PC and started the following command:
adb shell ps -A | findstr k9
But that didn’t work (did I do something wrong?)
Then I exported the settings of the other smartphone CUBOT and imported the settings to ATOML. That worked, so I have a version that I can start.
If I tried to input the passwords, K9 crashed.
But I could generate the two debug logs. One before I started and one after.
Next days, I will use my CUBOT, so I could test anything, if you could find the reason.
