K9 Mail Suddenly Crashing on Open - Tab S6 Lite

Looks like I had auto-update inadvertently enabled on my Tab, and now this app suddenly won’t open. Version 6.804. I suspect it was due to a recent app update because the device literally reports K9 Mail has a bug, and suggests:

  1. Clearing cache and restarting - doesn’t help

  2. Wait until developer issues an updated version - no updates available when I check Play Store for this device. That said, update is available for my Pixel 8, but given what’s going on with K9 Mail on my Tab, I’m not going to update it on my Pixel 8 because I don’t want the update to break K9 Mail on that device, too.

Anyone know a way to uninstall this update, or download previous version because this used to work flawlessly? I have nothing to lose at this point because as it is I can’t open it anyway, no matter what I try.

You could try to install this from Github - here the K-9 dev provides all releases, eg for 6.803
https://github.com/thunderbird/thunderbird-android/releases/download/6.803/k9-6.803.apk

There are also installs for version 6.90x - but these are Beta versions. For me these are running fine, but Beta means there is a chance that it breakes functionality.
