I hate to even ask because i love K9 and have been using it for years, but I need accounts view. Does anyone know an apprx eta for when its coming back or any other, maybe inferior email apps that have account view that i can use in the meantime?

You could try Nine or Bluemail if you like the new interface AND want to have the account overview.
Otherwise, I can recommend R2Mail2. Besides Account overview, it has GnuPG and S/MIME support. And lucky for you, they recently changed to free-to-use model.
