Sometimes I want to reply to a long message by interspersing my new text among the lines of the quoted original text and edit the original by deleting unneeded lines. So far I have not found a way to do this. It seems that it is a matter of quoting the entire original text (which may be several levels deep) without being able to edit it (i.e., remove unneeded lines) and put my new text within. Only quote the entire original, no matter how long it is, and put my reply on the top, or not quote the original, which may lose continuity. Am I missing something?
