Which exact version of K9?
When I try to open an attachment file that is in xml format I cannot view the content. This happens especially with files attached to emails that you receive on the certified mailbox. My device is a OnePlus Nord with Android 12 and the version of k9 Mail is the beta version 6.904. Thanks
Cannot reproduce on my site.
Downloaded an example XML file from Free Sample XML Files for Download, Test Data Interchange
Sent that file as attachmemt to my mail adress
Fetched it with K9 (same version as yours)
Saw that XML file as attachment.
When I clicked on it my S24+ asked me whichapp to use for display - both Total Commander and another Tool worked fine and showed content.
Clicking on the small download button on the right also worked.
One question: might it be an issue with file size / mail size? Maybe you see at the bottom of mail to download full mail?
Also: maybe some app is already set als default for XML files on your phone? If yes, which one?
