Imap on K9 is not working - SENT folder ( read cause there is a solution)

Hello everyone ,

i’ve been reading the forum and using this amazing App for almost 2 years , I LOVE IT .

As it happened to other IMAP is not alway working well.

I’ve read many other topics where people reply “ you did not setup imap well.. “
” is not a real imap .. “ all easy answer.

Few days ago on my new smartphone i decided to use Thunderbird app ( android just as for K9 )
and with EXACTLY the same server informations i’ve got Thunderbird to sync also the SENT folder.

so Now when i send an email from my smartphone it’s sync on every device.

With exactly the same settings on K9 it would NOT sync the sent folder .

Not sure how the devs can check/solve this but i want to say to all those having the same issue.. the problem is INDEED k9 !

Two things to check for this.

  1. Menu, Settings, choose your account, Folders, Sent folder. Tap it. Is it associated with the proper folder on the server?

  2. Menu, Choose your Server/Account, Manage Folders, Sent Items. Is Enable Sync set to On?

i think i’ll stick with thunderbird for my business email.. on k9 imap was working but not on sent folder and as far as i remember i could not select the folder .. neither “ sync “ the only one was inbox .
