Is there a way to lose the Capital alphabet letter preceding the subject and text displayed in the email lists?
The boxes with letters are displayed if the person you are writing emails with does not have a contact picture in your address book. You can disable contact pictures in Settings » General » Display » Show Contact Pictures.
