GMail read messages disappears intantly

After reading GMail messages, they instantly disappears on next synchronization - how can I show them permanently, no matter if they are read or not read ( when not read they are always displayed correctly ) ??

Make certain that you aren’t sorting by “read/unread”. The selection list doesn’t show what your current sort selection is, so it’s best to simply select “date” or “arrival”.

Thanks for the tip - unfortunately, that setting was on “date”
What happens is like the following:

  1. I receive one new message
  2. I read it
  3. when going back to the list, the mail is still there, marked as “read” ( this is ok of course )
  4. I now check again for new messages
  5. the already “read” message disappears
