I have an AOL account that has a bunch of subfolders under my “Saved” folder. In previous versions, they would all be individually listed as i.e. “Saved/Folder 1”, “Saved/Folder 2”, “Saved/Folder 3” & so on. In version 13.0 they’re now listed under the Saved folder & I have to expand it to view any mail received that had been filtered by my AOL filter settings. I wouldn’t mind having to expand the “Saved” folder if it stayed expanded. However, it doesn’t & I have to expand it EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I open the app which is extremely annoying. I liked it better when I didn’t have to CONSTANTLY expand the “Saved” folder & the subfolders were already visible.

sync is off in new folders and only way to get folder synced is manual single at time pointless fingering. try to do that in 500 folder spamthwart mail system
those issues only appear if no dev uses this as daily mua like i do
I actually view this as useful behavior. I have several folders with numerous subfolders located in the upper half of my folder list. Before this latest mod i had to scroll past all the expanded folders displayed to reach unrelated folders below. I appreciate the automatic collapse of the expansion to keep the displayed folder list shorter. If I need one of the suppressed subfolders, it’s just one click to reexpand.

i think the problem is with lack of options
here we have 3 users who want 2 different things
the modern sw dev is as if hellbent to kind of democratic vote on features. even if it is fixed by only little simple option. and that i hate
it also feels like k9mail is bending more and more to tb and to ff and general mozilla way. and there are number of users confused, begging and angry. on how tiny feature is not accepted but bigs are. on android ff we have still no bookmark export. only this hell of a sync. but we boast a new theme. and with older android dropped, bookmarks can never be exported! and in older versions you once could. whatever crazy reason this was, it’s wtf
imagine you get nice offer for a friend to look for your car for free since you had long engine troubles and were complaining. instead of engine, you find that back bumper has new paint. when asked why, he just says he felt like that. i bet you are very pissed about work on the wrong part, even if free
