Existing "Sent" folder doesn't show messages

The 12.1 version of K-9 does not download the contents of my shared “Sent” folder (the update also erased all my folder settings.) What’s going on? How do I make this work again?

Go to settings > account > fetching mail > incoming server and untick “auto-detect Imap namespace”
