K9 has been configured on my Android phone with this account for just under year and has been working very well.
Last week, it stopped sending email messages and I’m having an impossible time figuring out why.
- Within the settings > sending mail > outgoing mail screen, I clicked on Next and it was able to connect without errors. But when I try to send using this account, it fails.
- I am able to use Thunderbird on my PC to send with this same account.
- I even tried using a different account. Again Settings > Sending Mail > Outgoing Messages > Next works without error. But when I attempt to send using this account, it still fails.
What kind of troubleshooting should I try moving forward?
Edit: it appear that the mail provider may have disabled the ability me to send using forwarders. I’m working with them now to get that corrected. I use a cPanel shared hosting service. The “from” address listed in this email message is one of these forwarders. If I use an actual account vs a forwarder, it goes out fine.
