I have to delete emails twice before they are deleted. This shouldn’t happen pleased help with this.

Can you please confirm what version of the app you’re using?
What steps are needed to reproduce your issue, e.g are you deleting emails from the notification window, using a swipe gesture, from the message list menu or from a displayed email?

If you wish this to be a default behavior, most mail servers will have a setting for such. In Gmail, it’s the Forwarding and POP/IMAP settings tab to immediately delete.
If it’s a one off type of case, then yes, you have to trash it and then remove it from the trash.

You should also check the app settings
Settings > account > fetching mail
- When I delete a message: Delete from server
- Erase deleted messages on server: Immediately
Having the same issue though sometimes having to delete 3 or 4 times. Opening AOL mail mostly in v14.0 and use the 
while viewing message body to delete. The message will sometimes not reappear at all but in >1/2 time will reappear even after several email syncs requiring at least one more attempt at deletion. And yea, the email navigation keystrokes as already reported are cumbersome.
