Display 515 warning when email address does not exist

This arises from another post I made yesterday.

I thought K-9 was just randomly not liking emails for some weird reason. (my bad)

K-9 simply does not appear to pass on SMTP 515 errors.

It would be nice to get a notification when that happens. (when my fingers and eyes betray me)

IF K-9 does already do this then I must have a different issue with notifications and would like to find out what that might be.

Thanks to the team.

I just tested to send a mail to

test@test.cooo

And I got an error notification: Domain does not exist.

Is this what you expect? For me it looks good. I am using Beta 6.508

Nope. Not here. No error message. Mail stays in the outbox. (Also on latest beta)

stphn: That is exactly right! I see Figgerty has the same problem though.

Figgerty:

I was asked to check the following the other day:

Settings → [Account] → Notifications → Miscellaneous . enabled?

I also assume:

Settings → [Account] → Notifications → Include outgoing mail. selected?

I wonder why you have the same problem I do but Stphn does not?

hey stphn:
When I look at my K-9 logs I get this when I try to send messages from my outbox:

Is as descriptive as my log gets.
Is the description of the error in your logs any better?
Is it different from mine in any way?
Could you post that section for me?
