Connect android address book to K 9 mail

Hi guys, I run K9 Mail on my Samsung S24 Ultra. I want to use my android contact list. I use an email provider ×××××@ik.me. I can’t synchronosize my contacts. If I would use gmail.com or other programmes I could link my contacts. Is there any trick or add on I could use?

  1. You will need to grant K-9 mail permission to access your Android contacts.
    Open Android’s settings > apps > K9-Mail > permissions. Allow “contacts”
  2. Within the K9 app there’s some contacts / correspondant settings which you can enable at your preference. Navigate to settings > general settings > display.
  3. To pick a contact while drafting an email, press the triple-dot menu, top right on the compose screen and select ‘Add from contacts’.

If your mail provider supports carddav, there’s a couple of android apps on F-Droid and the Play store that might work to keep your phone contacts in sync. Search for “CardDav”.
