Choice of colour for selected emails

New version (8.0) just installed. Why is the colour for selected emails now grey? Some time ago it was blue, then it changed to pink. This was all ok. Now, in my inbox, read emails have a light grey background, and emails I select also have a light grey background - making it very difficult to tell them apart.

Why is there not an option to allow the user to specify the select colour/read colour?

The new grey on grey makes it virtually unusable.

I completely agree.
Please revert back to a colour or provide user choice urgently.

I came here to try to find a color setting for selected emails, for exactly this reason. Selected and Read now look too much alike. Please revert (or at least provide a color options, so users can fix it on our own)
