Lets see if we can assist you. To do some will require some further information.
- What version of K-9 or Thunderbird are you using?
- Which mail provider is authentication failing on? e.g gmail, hotmail etc.
- Have you tried logging into your mail providers web portal with the same password to confirm there’s no issues.
- Is the mail an enterprise or school account such as Office365?
- Are you using the automatically detected Imap or pop settings, or changing any details?
- Can you share an image or details of the exact error message, redacting any personal details.
