Hi
Since some hours, as soon as I try to open a mail, the app crashs.
I restarted, made the cache empty: same problem.
PS: if I change the orientation of the device, I can open the mail…
I’m on Android.
Thanks
Xavier

Welcome to the K-9 Mail Forum.
It’s currently only an Android app, so you have to be on Android.
Would you provide more information so that we may be better able to discuss this with you?
Can you share the version of Android?
What make and model device do you use?
What version of K-9 Mail are you using?
Have you ever been able to open emails in K-9 Mail?
Does this affect all accounts?
Forget it!
It seems it happens in fact only with one mail.
Regards
Xavier
I’m glad to learn that it was an isolated occurrence.
The developers might still be interested in that email. There might be a CSS property or some encoding issue with which K-9/Thunderbird is unhappy.
Do you mean you need details from that mail ?
If it is possible from a data protection perspective, the unaltered original email would be ideal.
If I were to start troubleshooting, I would be very interested in at least the MIME encoding and, if it is an HTML email, the CSS part and the text/plains alternative.
However, since I am not a developer on the team, one of the maintainers would have to comment on what is requested in the ticket. (And how the email can be submitted if necessary.)
@Xavierdes I am checking some details because I haven’t done it myself, but I think the steps will be to enable debugging per Collecting Debug Logs - Thunderbird for Android - Developer Documentation so that the logs are created, and then please create a ticket at Android issues.
Let me know how that goes please.
And I will check into how you can privately submit the crashing message.
