I have been using K9 for many years, which speaks for itself. Since the last update I have noticed the app crashing when I open certain emails. This is unfortunate because these emails come from my smart home system. I don’t have much influence on their formatting or content. Before the update I never had any problems with it. These are pure text emails (no HTML) - It is very pitchfork.
My Android-Version is 12 and installed K9-version 14.0.
Would you be able to install the latest TB beta and test if the issue still occurs. Available here.
If it does, please create an issue ticket on github so the developers can investigate and fix the crash. Please capture a debug log of the crash and attach to the ticket. Instructions can be found on the below link.
It seems like this version works, at least I was able to open today’s email. I’ll keep watching this. Thank you for the prompt service. - Regards, Frank
