Newest version changed the line to the left of the messages in the pooled inbox to a tiny tiny line, which makes differentiate the e-mails difficult. How to get the long line back?

Not a new issue, nearly 2 years since I raised this UX backwards step and it’s just getting worse with each update. Not sure why we now have wasted space at each side of the preview box too?
