Each time I paste a url link to the body of a message, the link ends up between these characters: < > like this:
https://www.amazon.com
I keep removing them before I send messages out but it is a pain in the butt. The recepient gets the message with a clickable link in between these html codes, but it is just not professional. Right now the version of k-9 mail is v6.710
Is there anything I can do to eliminate this problem?
My android is v10.

Answer on why can be found here:
“A URI pasted when composing a message will now be surrounded by angle brackets” was part of the change log for K-9 Mail 6.708.
We do this because URL-detection in plain text has a lot of edge cases. Wrapping a URL in angle brackets avoids most of them. This approach also allows you to put punctuation marks after the URL without accidentally breaking it because the punctuation can be interpreted as being part of the URL.

OK, I guess it"s going to stay this way. Thank you for the explanation.
It’s not a random decision, see RFC 3986: Uniform Resource Identifier (URI): Generic Syntax
Your recipient’s software should remove those, though, so perhaps a bug report can be filed there if it’s Free open source software.
