Since I just updated to Android 13, I just want to share this reminder with you…
After installing Android 13 and rebooting the phone for the first time, many apps will ask for notification and privacy permissions.
Don’t just “OK” all of them! Some, this includes K-9, display the newly required notification and privacy permissions on the top, but when you scroll down you will see that some of the “old” permissions are disabled. This includes contacts as well as media access.
If you just click “OK” without re-enabling contacts and media access, K-9 will not be able to auto complete or suggest contacts, and your custom notifications will not play the desired sounds.
So, make sure you scroll down on the permissions screen and re-enable “old” permissions.
