Reset password on new phone

Hi,
I just got a new handset and I don’t know my password email to transfer it to the new handset.
I tried exporting my current settings and importing them but it still asked for my password.
I also tried going into settings, incoming folder and password options but it still won’t work.
How can I reset my password and move my email to my new phone please?

You cannot extract the password from K-9.

If you have access to your server through an interface hosted by the provider, you may be in luck and able to change the password on the server’s side. However, you will need to update the password on all devices using this email account.

if you have a screen lock on the old device you will be able to see the password(s) in k-9 settings after doing an unlock there when prompted.
