I am looking for an option to specify more details when searching, e.g. “from:asdf” or “before:2021/12/31”. Is this currently possible?

P.S. my use case: finding all messages from 2021 and deleting them through “select all / delete” instead of single selecting each message…
I guess for this you need to do the search/delete operation on Gmail web frontend.
What is supported at the moment:
This is exactly what I would like to do. It occurred to me that perhaps a set of search criteria could be made from keywords that come first in the search line, i.e. “Date:// 2022” will search the ‘receive date’ field. “Date://! 2022” Inverts the search, everything but 2022.
