The email background appears to be a lighter Grey which makes it harder to read text. (where individual emails are listed) This may have happened with an update not sure. No way to change background color.
Please give that option.

This appears to be a regression starting in 6.306 for dark mode only, I see it too.
K-9 Mail 6.307 fixes this bug.
